Line up for January 26th, 2013

This has been a whirlwind of a week! I hope you all are as excited as we are to hang out at the market for a while this saturday, maybe grab a cup of "joe" and a baked good while you decide what great produce and craftsmanship you'll take home. This week we're adding some new vendors with great things to round out your shopping trip! Winter Markets on the Rise!

Thanks for coming out this past Saturday! (and welcome back to those of you just returning from break and vacation.) Our new food vendors had a great time and will be back as their schedules allow. Be sure to read the line ups as they're posted!

Next week we'll see the return of more fresh veggies and some of your beloved artisans. Elissa and Sarah are drafting a whole month of food fun and info for February (who loves alliteration?!) and we'll keep you posted!

Salmon this saturday!

We have a a great addition to this Saturday's list of wonderful vendors! Wild Alaska Salmon will be at the Winter Farmers market this Saturday to fill all of your salmon loving needs.

Did you know you can still purchase local beef from Lick Creek Beef as well as eggs from Cooley Farms?!

Remember, we'll still be collecting your holiday cards at this saturday's market so bring them with you!

fresh coffee, bread and veggies, OH MY! (line up, 1.12.13)

Hello wonderful Market folks! If you haven't gotten to the market in the new year you'll find several new faces! Joining our wonderful farmers and artisans we welcome Darn Hot Peppers, Jen's Joe and Owen's Ovens! Donald Miller, known to many as the "sweet potato man", joined us last week and will return this week. You can now buy fresh baked bread (and other baked goods with vegan and gluten free options!) and locally roasted coffee by the cup or pound. We're excited that many of our growers have continued through the snow storm and will be with us all season long! Come support these winter warriors! All Season's Farm & Hollow Pumpkin Farm are in Wisconsin this week at a CSA conference, and Builaland will be in St. Louis, but we'll welcome them all back this month!

Scott Martin of Heartland Honey will be with his daughter tomorrow welcoming a grandchild into the world, and it's really difficult to do that AND vend at the Winter Market... So we wish Scott, his daughter, and the rest of their family the best, but regret to inform you that you'll need to wait a week for your Heartland Honey.

But you CAN look forward to our last minute fill in, K-Noodles! Did anyone buy her chocolate noodles last time? Crazy!

Hello and Happy 2013 from the Winter Farmers Market! Don't forget to bring your holiday cards to the market this saturday or next. We'll be collecting them for repurposing and recycling!

We are so thankful for our wonderful growers! they've had a major snowstorm, heavy winds, dropping temperatures on top of the general work of farming! Some of incurred more damage than others and will not be at the Market for a while, but they'll be back as soon as they're fixed up!
