Line up for February 9th

We're ready for Valentine's Day, are you?!
The Winter Farmer's Market is happy to host Beth Gray-Shaw, LMT, a Massage Therapist practicing in Murphysboro. She'll be offering free chair massages at the Market and selling hand-made Valetine's Day cards that include a massage gift certificate!
Betsy Herman will be leading Valentine's crafts for Kids of all ages!
Some of your favorite artisans will be on hand with gifts for anyone's sweetie.

The local meats scene is thriving at your Winter Farmers Market too! This week we welcome back Wild Alaska Salmon, Frontwards Farm with chicken and Lick Creek Beef, who I hear has new selections of beef fresh from the processor!

The Big Muddy Film Festival will be screening clips from select films to be featured in the year's festival! The clips have been selected from documentary shorts and concern localisim and community empowerment. One of this year's festival organizers, Silvia Dadian, provided the following information about the clips you'll see: Por Dinero, about a Mexican immigrant sending money home; Fibershed, about women who make their own textiles; Directing Dissent, about a former civil rights activist and current professor and the challenges of teaching and promoting activism at the local level; and Something Different, about a working gristmill run on water power and the community in which it operates.
They'll have headphones and laptops for folks to engage with the films!
